Deep purple-black, large-drupleted and considerably fuller-bodied than raspberry. The blackberry carries the deepest, most wine-like aroma of the berries.
Taste & Texture
Concentrated, lightly tannic and deeply sweet; acidity recedes as it ripens. A matte black colour signals full ripeness, while berries tending to red were picked early. The texture is firmer and meatier than raspberry.
